On May 5, Ambassador Ren Hongyan met with Councillor Ryan Rampersad, Chairman of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation (CTTRC), Ms. Simone Huggins, Chief Executive Officer, Mr Henry Awong, Vice Chairman, and Dr. Seema Kadir, Local Economic Development Officer. Ambassador Ren appreciated CTTRC’s support for the commemoration of the 110th birth anniversary of Ms. Dai Ailian, who was born in Couva and is known as the "Mother of Chinese Modern Dance".

The both sides agreed to keep promoting cultural exchanges as well as bilateral cooperation in other fields, expanding the scope of our comprehensive partnership at the local level between China and Trinidad and Tobago.
