BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted Peru-Brazil Border Region at 1111 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 144.9 km, was initially determined to be at 8.24 degrees south latitude and 74.17 degrees west longitude.
