NEW YORK, May 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted 68 km SW of La Tirana, Chile, at 16:51:36 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 37.375 km, was initially determined to be at 20.6675 degrees south latitude and 70.6367 degrees west longitude.
