On February 8, 2021, new Director-General of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Cai Wei met with Head of the delegation of Latin American and Caribbean countries to China and Uruguayan Ambassador to China Fernando Lugris and Head of the delegation of Caribbean countries to China and Jamaican Ambassador to China Antonia Hugh respectively at their requests.
